Pagoda In Tamil, the word pagavadi means “house belonging to a deity.”

பாகனேரி பகோடா
பகோடா என்பது “பகவடி”(pagavadi or pakavati) என்றத்தமிழ் சொல்லில் இருந்து வந்திருக்கலாம் என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது., இதன் பொருள் “தெய்வத்திற்குச்சொந்தமான வீடு”.
பகோடா என்பது தியானம் செய்யும் இடம், ஆன்மிக அமைதிக்கு ஒரு சிறந்த இடம், இயற்கை மற்றும் ஆன்மிக உலகத்திற்கும் இடையேயான ஒரு பாலம். பகோடா உயர்ந்த விழிப்புணர்விற்கும் புதிய பார்வைக்கும் வழி காட்டுகிறது.

Sōrin
The Sōrin is the metal pinnacle built on the roof of a five-storied pagoda which rises heavenward.
Sōrin are supported by a long shaft that goes through the center of the pagoda. The shaft is rumored to support the stability of a pagoda during earthquakes, but this is not true. It’s sole purpose is to support the heavy weight of the bronze sōrin. The shaft does not always go all the way down to the ground, as they are often supported inside the pagoda by other means. This allows for usable space within the building, unlike the earliest pagodas.
Hōju
The Hōju is a sphere or teardrop-shaped object , these shapes are sacred in Buddhism as they are thought to repel evil and grant wishes. Hōju can be found on top of a pagoda, stone lanterns, or on top of sōrin. They may also have flames, which are called kaen hōju.
Ryūsha
The Ryūsha is the piece directly under the hōju.
Suien
The Suien are four decorative metal sheets set at 90 degrees of each other and attached over the main pillar of the pagoda.
Fūtaku
The Fūtaku are small sized bells attached at the ends of the suien.
Kurin
The Kuring are the main rings around the main pillar. Despite its name, it can have only seven or eight rings.
Ukebana
The Ukebana are upturned lotus petals arranged in a circle around the main pillar. There are usually eight petals. Occasionally, there is a second circle of petals facing downwards.
Fukubachi
The Fukubachi is an inverted bowl just under the ukebana.
Roban
The Roban in the base where the entire sorin rests on.
சோரின்(Sōrin)
சோரின்(Sōrin) என்பது ஒரு ஐந்து அடுக்கு பகோடாவின் கூரையில் கட்டப்பட்ட உலோக அமைப்பு ஆகும், இது வானத்தை நோக்கி எழுகிறது.
சோரின்(Sōrin) பகோடாவின் மையத்தில் செல்லும் ஒரு நீளம் போன்ற அமைப்பால் நிலை நிறுத்தப்படுகிறது. இந்தத்தண்டு நிலநடுக்கத்தின் போது பகோடாவின் நிலைத்தன்மையை ஆதரிக்க உதவுகிறது என்ற பேச்சு உண்மையல்ல. இதன் ஒரே நோக்கம் சோரின் எனும் செம்பின் பாரத்தை ஆதரிப்பது ஆகும். இந்த தண்டு எப்போதும் தரைக்கு கீழே செல்வதில்லை, பல நேரங்களில் பகோடாவின் உள்ளே மற்ற வழிகளில் ஆதரிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதனால், பழைய பகோடாக்களை விட கட்டடத்தின் உள்ளே பயன்படுத்தக்கூடிய இடம் கிடைக்கிறது.
ஹோஜு(Hōju)

சூயன்(Suien)
சூயன்(Suien) என்பது நான்கு அலங்கார உலோகத் தாள்கள் ஒன்றுக்கொன்று 90 டிகிரி கோணத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டு பகோடாவின் பிரதான தூணில் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
ஃபுடாகு(Fūtaku)
ஃபுடாகு(Fūtaku) என்பது சூயனின் முனைகளில் இணைக்கப்பட்ட சிறிய அளவிலான மணிகள்.
குரின்(Kurin)
குரின்(Kurin) என்பது பிரதானத்தூணைச் சுற்றியுள்ள முக்கிய வளையங்கள் மற்றும், அது ஏழு அல்லது எட்டு வளையங்களை மட்டுமே கொண்டிருக்க முடியும்.
உகேபனா(Ukebana)
உகேபனா(Ukebana) என்பது தலைகீழானத்தாமரை இதழ்கள் பிரதான தூணைச் சுற்றி வட்டமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும். பொதுவாக எட்டு இதழ்கள் உள்ளன. சில இடங்களில் இதே போன்று அமைப்பு கூடுதலாக(இரண்டு வட்டம்) கீழ் நோக்கியும் இருக்கலாம்.
ஃபுகுபாச்சி(Fukubachi)
ஃபுகுபாச்சி(Fukubachi) என்பது உகேபனாவின் கீழ் ஒரு தலைகீழ் கிண்ணமாகும்.
ரோபன்(Roban)
ரோபன்(Roban) என்பது முழு சோரின்(Sōrin) அமைப்பையும் தங்கியிருக்கும் அடித்தளப்பகுதி.
